postheadericon Mike Mac Sails talk. A big Thank You.

We would all like to say a big thank you to Mike Mac for his informative and entertaining talk on sail and rig setting.  Around 30 members gathered around a Wayfarer and a Solo below the ongoing clubhouse roof repairs to see the effects of correct and incorrect Jib and Mainsail  stetting, rig tension and mast rake.  When to use the main sheet to tension the leech and when its the kicker thats used.  Turns out the Cunningham is to make the sail look pretty.  I am sure I won’t remember everything, but on a beat to No 3 a 5 degree change in angle can cost you 75 yards and 1 inch on Jib sheet tension = 5 inches on the Leech,  Oh and I’ts all about the Jib!

Many thanks again Mike.
