After another busy year as a certified RYA training centre we are please to announce dates for training in 2026
See below for details of both Junior and Adult training.
Participants must be members of the sailing club (either as family or individual)
Club Safety Boat Training September 26th. (Non RYA course)
Junior Training
In 2026 we will continue running a junior training evening 6pm to 8pm (ish) on Fridays, details of dates are given below. This will be from beginner upwards and we will aim to provide tuition for any ability. Participants must be members of the sailing club (either as family or individual) and the cost will be £5 per session booked as a block. Participants will need to be booked on to the whole course and the ages are 7-16.
We are limited to spaces so please send the form as soon as possible to guarantee the place. Please let me know in the email if you are providing your own boat for training or if you will need to use a club boat.
Please email training@rbsc.org.uk if you have any 6/7 year old younger siblings of participants as this can be accommodated in a different way if needed. (Subject to numbers)

Adult Courses
Adult course dates for 2026
We will be running 2 courses this year on 2 consecutive Saturdays starting on 3rd May and 6th September.
These courses will cover the syllabus for RYA Level 1 and 2, each level requiring 2 days training. For complete beginners we recommend taking a Level 1 course, then gain experience with our club boats, taking the Level 2 course later in the season.
