We have had an excellent turn out for this series and it was great it was to see so many boats every week. Some of our juniors joined in and braved the conditions!
All 8 weeks in the race programme were completed, with only one race cancelled due to high winds. However, no third races were sailed due to low uptake or not much interest. To look to improve this for the future, beginning from this Sunday, the start time for race three has been moved forward to 13:30 and junior or novice racers are heavily encouraged to enter. The Wednesday evening series will also be starting up again soon on the 22nd of April, again this is a great time for any less confident racers to enjoy a quieter broad and a different race format.
Members have noted how much they have been enjoying the race reports and seeing them in the EDP when we get featured. As we cannot republish any direct clippings from the paper online, we have tried to keep them all on one place for your reading pleasure. You can now view this booklet (linked below) compiling them all from the last 8 weeks, which also contains a summary and information about upcoming events.
We really hope to see as many of you as you can at the opens and social events. If you cannot attend, you can also support Rollesby spreading the word with your other sailing friends, clubs or class associates. As cheesy as it sounds, we are trying to improve our social media presence and reach, so please follow our pages and engage with the posts where you can.
