Club Open Day – Saturday 25th of April 2026

Bring your friends and family! Come and try sailing, learn about Rollesby and what the club has to offer. The weather is looking great!

Please share this event with others, the club is open to all visitors for the day. If you are new to sailing, an experienced club member can take you out in a boat! There will be lots of people around to talk to you about Rollesby and sailing in general if you don’t fancy going sailing.

If you are a returning member, there will be safety cover all day so you can dust off your sailing kit and uncover your boat that may have been ‘resting’ in the dinghy park all winter. There will be help available to support you in you rigging and launching/recovery. Juniors should use this opportunity to practice their skills!

First Friday Evening of the Season – Whole Group Briefing 17/04/2026

Come down and get your boat set up for the season ahead, and if you are a newer member you will meet some regular Rollesby faces. There will be light catering and refreshments available – tea/coffee, cakes/snacks etc. We hope to see as many of you as possible for a fun day on the water!

Spring Sailing Social – Saturday 11th of April 2026

All Members Welcome! Arrive approx. 10am for some social sailing, boat sorting, general site tidying and race coaching/development. Juniors please come along to get a refresher before the first Friday Evening (17th April) and prepare your boats.

There will be safety cover all day so you can dust off your sailing kit and uncover your boat that may have been ‘resting’ in the dinghy park all winter. Members will be available to help you rig-up and provide advice/support about racing. Come down and get your boat set up for the season ahead, and if you are a newer member meet some regular Rollesby faces. Some planned activities for the day include:

  • Cleaning, rigging and preparing the RBSC Club Boat Fleet for the upcoming RYA Training Courses (Junior Fridays & Adult Saturdays) and the Open Day.
  • General site/grounds maintenance and tidying, moving and organising the dinghy park and trailer storage.
  • Sorting out the lost property boxes and tidy/clean up of the Clubhouse and Sheds.
  • Sailing around the Rollesby Broad, refreshing your skills without the pressure or racing with a safety boat available should you need it.
  • Advice and support about racing at RBSC, explaining about doing ‘duties’ and how to build confidence. If demand is there we could run some short racing sessions with coaching in the afternoon.

Please remember to bring your own food/drinks/snacks etc. as there will be no formal catering, but the kettle and general stock of tea/coffee will be available. We hope to see as many of you as possible for a fun day on the water and to help us get the club ready for the year ahead. See you all soon!

you won’t have me sending you any more emails or bugging you at the Club
to sign up for the Winter Social. But I do hope when I get back I will
see that as many of you as possible have signed up. Everyone enjoyed it
last year and I promise you will this. Thanks.”
